Where an honest answer is less flattering than a vague one, the honest answer is below.
Getting started
No. Opening the site is enough — a guest session is created in the background with no form, no email and no password. This is not "registration is quick"; there is no registration step at all.
No. It runs in the browser you are already using, on a phone or a computer.
Yes. Voice mode and text mode never switch a camera on. They are not a reduced version of the product — they are two of the three ways it works.
That prompt comes from your browser, not from us, and it only ever appears once per site per browser. If you dismissed it before, no website can make it reappear — the fix is in your browser settings.
How matching works
No. Matching is random, and that is the product rather than a missing feature. There is no interest picker, no gender filter and no country filter.
You move to the next person immediately. The call simply ends on their side — they are not told why, and they have no way to follow you or call back.
No. Skipping is free, unlimited, and always will be. Charging for leaving a conversation would be an ugly idea.
No. Once a match ends it is over. That is the trade-off of a random queue.
Safety and privacy
On the other person's profile page, not on the call screen. If you have been searching the call screen for one, that is why you could not find it.
They will not be matched to you again. Nothing is announced to them when you do it.
Calls are not recorded. To be precise rather than reassuring: chat messages do have a history, the way messages do in any messaging app. "Calls are not recorded" is a narrower claim than "nothing is stored", and we would rather you know which one we are making.
No — the button covers the picture on both sides, it does not stop the camera capturing. If you want no camera running at all, start in voice or text mode instead.
Yes, and so can anyone on any video call on any platform. Nobody can prevent screen recording. What you control is what is behind you and what you choose to say.
Money
Starting is free and needs no card. Longer calls draw on coins, from $1.99 for the smallest top-up. We are not going to claim it is free forever, because that would not be true.
Coin top-ups are one-off purchases that do not renew. There is a separate optional monthly plan at $9.99 if you would rather not top up piece by piece.
The exact cost is shown to you inside the app. We deliberately do not print a rate here, because a number on a marketing page that later disagrees with your balance is worse than no number at all.
